Tell us in 30 seconds what the document is

What the paper is, where it leaves from, what address it goes to. With that we give you a closed price and tell you whether it needs an apostille or some prior authentication before it travels.

How it works, in three steps

  • One. You message us on WhatsApp. We confirm a closed price.
  • Two. We collect the envelope wherever you are: home, agency, notary, university.
  • Three. It travels insured and tracked to the recipient's address in India. And the other way round, from India to Spain, just the same.
03

What we are asked for most on this corridor

  • Degrees and transcripts from Indian universities coming to Spain for recognition, enrolment or to present to an employer.
  • Birth and marriage certificates for immigration and family procedures.
  • Powers of attorney granted in Spain to manage properties, accounts or inheritances in India.
  • Company paperwork: signed contracts, certificates of origin and papers that companies move between the two countries.
  • Consular paperwork that has to be delivered to or collected in Barcelona or Madrid.

Paperwork before shipping: the apostille and its real date

India is party to the Hague Convention, but the detail is worth knowing: Spain objected to its accession in 2005 and withdrew the objection on 12 February 2008, which is the date from which the apostille is valid between Spain and India. Many agencies get this one wrong.

Today, a Spanish document bound for India only needs an apostille —Ministry of Justice for judicial and administrative documents, Notarial Colleges for notarial ones— and there is no need to go through the Indian consulate.

In the other direction, an Indian document is apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), but it must be authenticated first: personal documents by the Home or General Administration Department of the issuing State, educational ones by that State's Education Department, and commercial ones by the corresponding Chamber of Commerce. On top of that, since 2012 the MEA does not deal with individuals directly. That route is the issuing body's job; we move the paper as soon as it is ready.

In Barcelona, the Consulate General of India is in the Torre Allianz, Carrer de Tarragona 107-109, and a good part of the procedures are filed through BLS International, at Avinguda Madrid 9.

Why don't we charge what DHL, FedEx or UPS charge?

Because we only move documents, between a few countries and on fixed routes. A large operator quotes your envelope with the same structure it uses to quote a pallet. We don't have that structure, and the saving stays with you.

Included: collection, insured transport, real-time tracking, delivery and support in Spanish on WhatsApp. Not promised: an exact delivery date, or dealing with Indian authorities on your behalf.
