03WHAT YOU CAN SEND

Boxes for home, not pallets

This is family shipping: what fits in a box and is not in a hurry.

  • Clothes, blankets and textiles

    What travels most in this corridor. Bulky and light, which is exactly what a ship is for.

  • Household goods

    Crockery, pans, bed linen, small appliances. Well packed and grouped together.

  • Gifts and personal effects

    What you send your family without it being a commercial shipment. If you are unsure about something, ask before packing it.

  • Electronics, in their own category

    Phones, tablets and laptops can travel, but not as general cargo: they are declared separately, at €5.00/kg.

04WHAT CANNOT TRAVEL

This does not go in the box

This is not small print: it is what you sign before the box leaves, and what Pakistani customs looks for.

None of this can travel in a box on this corridor:

  • All medicines, prescription or over the counter
  • All alcoholic beverages

If Pakistani customs finds any of these items, the box may be held or destroyed, and the shipment is not covered by any insurance.

ELECTRONICS DO TRAVEL

Phones, tablets and laptops are not banned: they travel in their own category, at €5.00/kg instead of €4.50/kg. What you cannot do is hide them in a box declared as general cargo. Tell us beforehand and it goes right from the start.

FOOD

Only if it is non-perishable. The crossing takes weeks inside a container: nothing that needs refrigeration or has a short shelf life.

05TRANSIT TIME AND DEPARTURES

It is a ship: it takes time, and that is half the deal

That is why it costs what it costs, and why you send it with time to spare.

Acacia Cargo ships boxes by sea from its Barcelona warehouse to any address in Pakistan, door to door, in roughly 8 to 10 weeks. It is an estimate, not a date: a ship does not arrive on the day you would like. During the crossing it is normal to go days without new updates — while the vessel is sailing there is nothing to scan.

DEPARTURES

We sail from Barcelona periodically, once a shipment is complete. Write to us and we will tell you when the next one goes.

CUSTOMS AT DESTINATION

Clearance in Pakistan and the final delivery are handled by our partner at destination. What customs may cost depends on what the box carries, so we do not publish it here: ask us before you pack and we will tell you.
